The Cult
I'm sliding into a major Cult/Billy Duffy bender.

I absolutely prefer the original version of Electric.

Love is by far their best album. Fact.

Re: The Cult
I love Billy Duffys' style. Minimalist and incredibly effective. He never ever tries to do too much.
Re: The Cult
One of my favorite bands. Hollow Man might be my favorite track. Astbury's vocals on that are pretty hypnotic.
Funny you're on a Cult bender, I'm still coming down off of a binge myself. You may have just caused a relapse.
I love Billy Duffy's style as well. Sweet Soul Sister contains one of my favorite guitar solos ever laid down.

I love Hollow Man because it borders on Motown. But it's still all New Wave. The song has just a filthy backbeat to it. Real ass shaker for sure.

Dude exactly! I always picture Kate Pierson/B52s doing a cover. Would kill.

That would be beautifully creepy. Her singing about some weirdo following her around.
Re: The Cult
Yeah woulda fit Joy Division as well. Creepier yet.
Re: The Cult
The Cult is awesome and still puts out some awesome tunes. Ian still brings it vocally too.

Re: The Cult
Love and Electric are easily my favorite albums.
My current fave of theirs is Memphis Hip Shake.

Re: The Cult
I like the cult on record, but when I saw them live I was pretty disappointed, maybe an off night.
