This thing is awesome. It's like a Swiss Army knife of OD/Boosts.
I've been using it quite a bit lately. It can beef up your clean tones and give them some oomph for arpeggiated stuff, unlike my Bad Monkey which just makes cleans sound kinda meh. As a boost I can dial it to sound identical to a TS/Bad Monkey... or it can be dialed to sound transparent which is how I use it for my recto... just to tighten up the lows a bit without the mid bump.
I thought all the switches and dials were a bit much at first, but they're all very useful. I'll be keeping this one on my board for a while.
Looks sweet, and your description makes me wish I'd heard of this before I picked up a Green Rhino to replace my Bad Monkey!

Plus his unplugged electric tone... well... it exists.

Yeah, but I don't think you can go wrong with the Rhino.
Right now I've got the Black Powder set up for leads and the Monkey I use for rhythm stuff. The Monkey just sounds more raw and agressive... The BP is dialed to sound fatter and smoother for leads. I think I paid 160 for it, which is a lot less than most bootek OD's.
