Cheapo 1-ply pickguards don't belong on a $900 guitar.

I think they fit the vibe of the guitar... It's supposed to be a solid workhorse instrument, not a piece of jewelry.
I like it myself :) And it's the easiest thing to change if you want another look.

I really dig the So-Cal model, but the hardtail H/S is

I hope the quality is on par with the previous models in the last couple years.

Yes, finally a hardtail! Now I'm interested. I would love to try out for sure. Now I want to see a hardtail Tele version.

I'm surprised by all the love for a hardtail , I've always looked at those things as the bastard child . A vintage strat with a hardtail is just freaky , they should bring back the "standard" brass tremolo though , that would be killer .

The one guitar I have that I can shred most easily on, is a Tele :D
I have t-o-m bridges and Floyds, but the Tele bridge is just perfect for my right hand :)

A brass trem like you talk about would also be sweet, mind! :)

I wish they wouldn't recess the floyds. I just don't like that look on the Pro Mods
Guitars: '90 Gibson LP Studio, '14 PRS Custom 22, EVH Black&Yellow, Squire Pro Tone Strat
Amp and Cab Bugera 1990 or 1960 into an Orange 2x12 w/Heritage G12M's or Peavy 2x12 w/Seventy 80's
FX: the pedals I build
Great deals list @ TGP: http://www.thegearpage.net/board/showpost.php?p=11357357&postcount=458

Agreed, recessed floyd makes it more like a pointy head charvel but with the old-school strat headstock. Don't remember anyone wishing for a recessed floyd on the previous pro mods. That said, I just got a US style 2 pro mod and a US CS music zoo one, no need for a mexican one right now.

Yup.

It'd be blaspheme to a die hard Charvel guy, but I'd change the neck & put a 67-69 style big head strat neck on it

With teh Charvel Logo, cause no one else has one . Big head Strats = secksy.

You can still get those on the Legacy series if you want, or through the custom shop.

I hope loop will be able to get a good deal on these. I want a white one fucking bad.

Me too. I remember when I ordered mine last year, Loop held me to secrecy to not spill the beans about Charvel stopping production on the Japanese models. I wanted white so bad but all he had was a candy blue or black. I went with the black (with maple fretboard). And, though I don't regret the purchase (LOVE that fucking guitar), I'm still gassing for a white one.
Awesome deals with: pamukparty, killzone
