Who do you use for cell service?

Post by GAS KING »

My contract is up, and I need a change.

I use a regional provider, and they pretty much suck for phone choices. Service is good, but the best phones they have are the iPhone 5 and Motorola Razr MAXX.

I have an iphone 4s and I would love to get back to android.

I use Verizon. No problems with their service. I rarely, if ever, have issues with not getting a signal. Their customer service is decent.

Verizon. Just got a Nokia Lumia windows phone.

Any of you guys make ring tones? I need new ones.

I use the sound recorder to create ring tones.

Actually, I do that to my wife at least once a month.......she leaves her phone lying around, I grab it record something funny or obnoxious and set it as her main ringer.

I create them using Audacity, which is free. It's super easy to do. Which reminds me that I need to create one for my new phone!

My work/personal cell phone is Verizon - my wife's and kid's phones are T-Mobile.
Verizon is better hands down - and this is in a metropolitan area, where you would think all cell providers would have decent coverage.

AT&T for 14 years now. Issues along the way but it appears with my new iPhone 5 they are working well at the moment. I'm sure it's only a matter of time.

Boost Mobile. I pay 40/month and never had one single issue with them (going on 2 years). Never even had to call their customer service line.

Verizon. I don't exactly love them. But I never lost service during the blizzard and ensuing power outage.

Unlike AT&T.

Tracphone actually.

Laugh if you will but for some reason its the only service that gets any signal in my neck of the woods.

Sprint, a lot of problems. We moved and in our new place and were roaming, they had o send an antennae that hooks up to the modem, works better. The 3g service really sucks though. I get a discount with Verizon for work as well, but I know they would fuck up shit royally and really don't want to even sign up with them.
Some guys like a challenge. Not me.

When I used to travel a lot for work I noticed Verizon seemed to have the best service across the board. AT&T is great here where I live but in rural areas not so much. My 4g LTE data service is consistently 20mbps down and up. Hitting up to 50 depending on where I'm at in town

Originally with Cingular until they merged with AT&T. The only problem I have with AT&T is their plans are pricey, but their customer service has always been top notch and I've never had any problems with reception.

I use Verizon. I fucking hate the company as I've had to deal with them a few times and they are completely stupid. The cell phone service is good though and I've never had a problem.

AT&T here. Had some issues here and there but nothing worth really griping about. Thought there are certains areas here in houston where cell service just drops off to near non existent which doesn't make sense (ex one of the biggest and most popular malls in the damn city). But still not enough for me to switch, it does what I need when I need to.

I'll be using Metro on my next one. It's $100 for 2 phones a months on 4g. I'll have to buy the phones but long term its a better deal.

I changed to Sprint in October so that my wife could have an iPhone 5.

I won't say it's been all shitty, but their coverage at home sucks ass. My wife has all kinds of texting problems, as well (maybe it's the phone -- I don't have the same problems with my Samsung :p). I'm regretting the move, partly because T-Mobile was fairly smooth sailing for the two years we were with them. Now I have a 60/40 chance of getting unintelligible call quality. I'm getting close to having the company install one of those antennas so I can piggyback on the wifi, but why should I? I should charge Sprint for the fucking privilege.

I'll also add that Sprint's customer service has been excellent, at least for the short time we've been with them. I feel like they are genuinely sympathetic to my situation, and are trying to get a solution. At least that part is favorable.
