I am still super proud of it. It's the only musical project I've been a part of that I would happily show anyone. I'd love to hear what you guys think of it, positive or negative. You can stream it over at our bandcamp, we're also on Spotify if thats your speed.

If you want any details on the recording process or what gear was used just asked, I remember most of it

I think sounds great man...it's not the style of music I listen to for the most part - or at all actually - but it's super well recorded, arranged everything. I really have nothing negative to say about it, it's just a good solid album.

Within a few seconds of listening i thought "Circa Survive".... then went down to the tags and saw "Circa Survive"
Definitely hear that influence as well as Dear Hunter.

I don't really listen to this style of music anymore (did a little back in the day like early Circa), but it sounds great. Nice recording, good songs. Nice job man!

Thanks dudes

Circa is a huge influence, as well as Thrice. We get compared to the Deftones pretty often too. I don't listen to the Dear Hunter much. I should check them out.

It sounds really good man. Really well produced. You should send your stuff to 105.3 in Sand Diego CA. I hear music like this when I go down in that area to visit my dad. It's a great fit for that station.

having not heard it yet (im a circa survive fan), i would offer that the visual and media presentation could use some sprucing up on the website. should talk to some of the dudes who do that here. (for instance, back grounds and fonts, "up coming"? also does that statement need to be there? it took away from the site, IMO. reminded me of the sort of branding you see from the cover bar bands around here)
whereas of course there are pluses too (the miley thing is clever, the tab photos look good.)

but the sounds themselves ive heard in the past were great. will try to check this out tonight.

Thats solid feedback actually. For the most part I take a back seat with that stuff. I should sit down with Luke (or singer does all the web stuff) and go through it.

yeah to me it seems like a young band who is now generating a more mature sound (judging by what others' have said in this thread) and needs a major identity overhaul.

and most of this feedback comes from cringing looking at old promo material, etc. that i had done.

and its also coming from someone who hasnt gotten a dedicated site up yet or hasnt done a full-length or professional EP yet, so there is that. pure marketing/graphics standpoint.

Yeah, thats more or less that case. We need a die hard graphic designer fan who works for demos

Actually it would be easier to start with 95.5 KLOS of Los Angeles. Even though they are a classic rock station their morning program "Heidi and Frank" does a weekly segment called "Stay or Go" where they give up and coming unsigned bands a chance to be played on the air, where online listeners, tweeters, and callers get to vote whether or not you stay or go. If they vote stay, you get a second song played, and the voting process happens again. If you make it through then you get invited to their annual "Stay or Go Festival" in CA where all those bands play live. So submit your band to them and see what happens. If they decide to put your band on the segment you guys call in on the phone, introduce your band and the song, as well as any website or Facebook page etc. where you market yourself, and then they play your music on LA's most popular rock radio station.

Listening to "Fangs" right now. As some have said, not usually what I listen to but man, this is really good. Really well recorded for sure.

How have I never listened to this whole album yet?

Anyway really great stuff man, reminds me a lot of Thrice without sounding like a "me too" kind of thing.
Thrice is one of my favorite bands of all time so I think you can see how to take that comment.

Only negative thing I can come up with is on my laptop speakers that I'm listening through the guitars could be louder/more cutting. Might be totally fine on other systems though.

There a couple parts I wish the leads were a bit more forward but in my car and on my monitors I'm overall very happy. Never listened on my laptop though

Yeah, really dig your album man. I don't rock this style as often as I used to, but you guys did a really good job.

And its cool because you have a sound that's identifiable for people, but you don't sound just like any one band.

Good stuff. :thu:
