I've heard that it is its own reward. Although you are probably more likely to be paid to observe them doing that to themselves.

It's basically another name for Cajun. I have no idea how it came into use.

I had to tell a guy the other day, that Coonass didnt mean what he thought it was.

I was raised around tow boaters, so it's been part of my vocabulary my whole life. I have friends from that part of the world, and they call themselves coonasses.

A buddy of mine from NOLA kept calling me "Brother" one night. I told him he very well could be my brother, cause my Dad's spent alot of time on boats in the fleets in NOLA, and when boats were tied up, Im sure the old man didnt sit around & twiddle his thumbs lol.

A slippery path with lots of slugs, blood, yeast, and famine. And of course it wouldn't be a true calling if it wasn't your own seed.

We are also big drinkers, usually. And look for pretty much any reason to have a festival. Frog festivals, boudin festivals, gumbo festival, cotton festival, smoked meat festival, black pot festival (an hommage to cooking in old school, black cast iron, heavier than a marshall stack, pots), etc.

Nothing at the moment (hooray well-planned investments), but I'm headed back to school in the summer (maybe fall at the latest) to go be a Radiology Technician. X-ray monkey, what operates the machines. I don't fix 'em, just go to school for two years to learn how to use 'em. Which, looking at the course outline, is about three actual classes, and a shit-ton of time interning for credit around town.

But, two years and I'll finally have a trade I feel alright about. And by that, I mean, a trade. I had been thinking about going back to school for art, largely for the degree (which opens doors itself), but figured at this point in my life, I'll go ahead and get that trade, and then use the resulting Big Buxx to maybe go back to school again, but on my own terms, not job terms.
Misplaced priorities and squandered opportunities.

My favorite job of all time was being a cook at a local restaurant.

Too bad they don't pay enough or have decent benefits.

My mom manages a housekeeping department and there was a big meeting where the changed her job title from "Housekeeping Manager" To "Housekeeping Coordinator" :freak:

Im not sure why they screw around with job titles, its not like a Coordinator does anything different than a Manager.

The one I always laugh about is "Sales Engineer"

I'm like...seriously, wtf? Sales and Engineer should never be used together to describe a job...There is nothing about sales that requires any sort of engineering...You talk to people and BS them into buying shit they don't need so you can get your commission. Maybe the engineering bit is about engineering your best BS lies to nab the sale...
