Shipping to Argentina

Post by GAS KING »

I sold a bass, and the guy lives in Argentina.

I took the neck off to reduce the package size. ended up being 8x20x32.5 girth was under 108"

From what I can tell the USPS max dims are 46x35x46 girth of 108"

I took it to USPS and they said it was too big to ship?

Am I missing something?

They didn't like your look so you were seen as an undesirable.

they often get confused with the international shipping dimensions because it's different from each country. My suggestion would be to go to USPS.com and print out the information from their website. Then go to the post office with the printouts and a measuring tape. Ask for a manager if needed. If it's under what is posted on their website, you will be able to ship it.

ah. I didn't know that they had country specific dimensions. I'll have to see if I can find that.

man that shit is confusing.

priority mail and express mail have this detail : Maximum length: 36 inches Maximum length and girth combined: 79 inches

Which would put me over. 88.5" with my package. Which might be my problem???

Although, "global express guaranteed" does not have that speculation. not exactly sure what that means.

Is FedEX or UPS an option?

or is that even more of a hassle, or more expensive?
