So my EDM track is out for the first time, commercially

I know EDM isn't the main genre of choice over here, but if you like interesting things to listen to, you might get something out of this.

As one of the standard dudes guilty of the "metal" label, that first track gives me a serious case of the "FUCK YEAH"s. So much rhythmic smack-down shit going on there, and anybody that doesn't get how much effort goes into crafting a track that layers up the way that one does while maintaining the complete beat-down nature doesn't really understand that musicianship is more than just knowing chords, scales, and time sigs.

The second one is pretty cool too, though it has a more mellow stance it's no less rhythmic, just doesn't maintain that perceptible level of aggression the first one has.

Both are awesome in their own way though. Good job, Nick. I think these are the first samples I've actually heard you post, and I'm impressed. Keep it up, and let us know if you release something that purchasable. I would totally throw down for an album of these types of tracks.

Thanks for the response, I'm glad you liked them!

Yeah, that first one took me ~14 months/150 hours to compose and produce to its entirety. Like you said, so many layers, details and nuances. It was a nightmare to mix... 50+ different instruments, plus samples, 90+ fx chains... that was a rough week. lol.

The second one has about ~8 hours in it, but will hopefully turn out as epic as the first after I put some more time into developing it.

Edit: The first one IS available: https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/exopl ... d934684323
-The other two tracks on that EP are not mine tho, they are still good, just not quite like mine. :)
