Crowdfunding Your Album Yay or Nay?

Post by Dickarms »

i think its been discussed before, but i saw some recent examples. some quite honest about declaring what the funds were going to go to (pretty packaging and promo material).

is this a great way for indie bands to get shit done for the people who already care?

or is this panhandling or the lowest sort?

I vote no. sounds like something Duncan would do or probably has already done.

I give 0 shits one way or the other about crowd funding

If your getting the album out of it, I don't see any issue... essentially just getting a pre order and helping stick it to the man

I think this is how I feel too - it really just seems like a pre-order.
