Overkill (Rat Skates) documentary

Post by JiveTurkey »

Not sure all who have seen this; but I just started watching it and it is pretty solid so far. I will say the dude is a little full of himself. Putting himself on the same level of influence as James Hetfield? Not really there buddy  That criticism aside; it has a ton of old school photos, clips, etc. If you dig thrash or just old school metal, you will enjoy :thu:

Man this is great so far!

I gotta say, I am about half way through. Dude is a pretty good story teller. Kind of too bad he could not commit to the schedule. He really seems to be the driving force into these guys taking off. I wonder what the rest of the band thinks about this.

I finished it. It seems a bit incomplete, tbh. The end is a little abrupt. No spoilers :cop: It will be interesting to see everyone else's take. Good doc nonetheless.

Pretty cool. Agree on the ending. Should have gave more details about what Rat did after he left. It's always cool to learn these little tidbits of info about the early thrash scene. Back then there was no internet and metal sure as fuck was not getting TV coverage. The only info you really got was from magazines like Hit Parader.

I was born in 1970 so I was just getting into metal when this stuff was happening. It felt like it was made for me and my friends. Thrash will always be my favorite and I always love learning new stuff about it.
