first electric - Harmony Strat copy from a Sears catalog (cream colored. MFPOMFS lol)

first I bought with my own money - 80's Fender MIJ strat (wish I'd kept it. great player. Just needed pick ups & tuners upgraded. Didnt know what I had at the time).

Cut my teeth on my Uncle's '79 Strat. (Olympic white with the bad clear coat that turned yellow. Black pick guard). I always consider her "my first" because It's what I started learning on. There's a picture of me sitting with him holding it when it was brand new. I woulda been 3 years old then. It's the standard to me, of what a good guitar is judged by.

my first electric guitar was an ESP EC-300P... really wasn't the best guitar in the world but it did what it had to do...sold it after about a year and got a MIM Tele which was my main guitar for a few years... then gas kicked in HARD and I've bought and sold quiet a bit since then lol

It was a cheap Jackson. The neck was so flat that I ended up hating it. Plus, the cheap floyd rose would piss me off.
Guitars: '90 Gibson LP Studio, '14 PRS Custom 22, EVH Black&Yellow, Squire Pro Tone Strat
Amp and Cab Bugera 1990 or 1960 into an Orange 2x12 w/Heritage G12M's or Peavy 2x12 w/Seventy 80's

I'm sofa king glad I didn't buy a guitar with a cheap floyd on it when I first started learning how to play. I knew people who had 'em, and they would never play because the guitar was always phucked up in some kinda way.

I bought one of those for $75 . Dude got mad & sold it to me on sight BC the bridge was f*cked up. I fixed it & traded it for an SLM 4x12 with some unknown Celestions in it. Mine was a metallic maroon color. Once I fixed the bridge, it was a decent guitar

Wish I had some pics of it without my ugly mug. I miss that guitar. Fucked up the intonation and was too stupid to know how to fix it so I traded it off. It still played good. Epiphone carved top superstrat with the 24.75 scale and EMG HSS setup. Br00tz crew fer dayz through the old Turbodrive->boombox as a maplifier.

A Jackson DR7T sevenstring. An absolutely awful guitar. But I got it before I understood anything about anything. Needless top say I don't have it anymore.

Looks like this, mine was the trem version though:

So if you come across one, avoid like the plague unless you're running really low on firewood.

Until I saw the headstock, I thought that was the Alvarez Dana "The Scoop".

And obviously they're two completely different guitars. My bad.

Ibanez Roadstar. Bought it when I was 15 or 16. Loved it. The microtuners on the trem would fall out if you unscrewed them too far and you'd have to disassemble the trem to put it back together which was a pain in the ass. The locking nut was a bit of a cunt too.

Most definitely. Still consider mine very playable but it does need a little TLC. Doesn't even have pickups in it right now.

A Cort LP copy.
I can remember just sitting and staring at it in my bedroom.
I also remember the binding separating from the body and constantly being out of tune.
Oh, and how ice picky the tone was from the tiny little Ampeg SS amp I had.
Wish I still had it though.

Jeezus chrap. How were you able to suck enough oxygen through all those layers of white trash awesome to survive?

This was 1994-ish, so it wasnt as white trashy, as it would be today. Besides, my mullet covered my ears, and the 70 SS got me laid ALOT. Bitches like Watts ride :lash:

But looking back... yeah. MAGNUM white trashy

My first guitar that I bought was a white Ibanez RG 5xx back in '89. I think that was a 550, white paint job w SSH layout w 24 frets. Still have it.

Second was my Wasburn EC29, think was like $1,400 back then and I was making $3.13 an hour... that's a lot of hours! Still have it.

My parents bought me a Guild Starfire as my first guitar. Red, 22 fret, SSH. Still have that too, 30 years + later! Yeah I'm old.

SSH with no pickguard? That would be an RG560 - I had a '92 RG560 myself; great axes!

Series 10 strat. Plugged it into my Dad's Rockman, until I bought a Crate practice amp.

It was awful, but I played it nonstop.

Found one exactly like it on Google:
