I saw the Guitar Trio at the Agora Ballroom back in 81 or 82, when they were touring in support of "Friday Night in San Francisco". I had pretty good seats, plus I had consumed some "magic" stuff to enhance my experience. I'll never forget, right after they finished the first song, everyone literally jumped out of their seats and rushed the stage screaming their heads off. The look of fear almost on Paco's face was classic; I think he must have wondered what the hell kind of situation did he get himself into.

I can hum every single note to Friday Night in San Francisco that was my favorite album in college. man I used to listen to it every single night and while I was studying and pretty much all the time. What a tremendous loss. Im a week or two late with this because I just read the thread and didn't hear anything outside of here. he was only 66, it makes you think how young he was playing like such a BAUS. Amazing album I highly recommend it if yuou have not heard it before. paco stole the show that night.
