Overdrive on 5150 combo rhythm channel

Post by dsale »

I have my rhythm channel on my 5150 combo set to clean, but would like to be able to overdrive it to mid-gain territory. That way I'd basically have three tones to work with, clean, dirty, and heavily distorted (via lead channel).

Is anyone using an overdrive pedal with their 5150 in this manner, and having good results? If so, what pedal are you using?
