I bet the AxeFX owner dude is shitting himself now. Seemed that the complaint about the original Kemper was the fact that it wasn't rackmountable.

TGP is retarded. Bunch of snobby douchers.
Oh yeah, this is definitely going to affect the AxeFX sales. No two ways about it. If they're readily available it'll hurt the AxeFX sales even more.

I just hate that I'm going to have to send my kemper back to them to get the power amp installed.
I know why they are wanting to do this but I'm really hoping they have a USA partner that can do this (sweetwater maybe?) vs sending it all the way to damn germany.

Total no brainer over in UKland. The AxeFX2 is just shy of £2000. A rack Kemper runs in at £1200. You can get a matrix GT1600FX for £600 and the combination of the two could quite easily destroy buildings with £200 change.

I'm sure they will have authorized installers. It would be retarded if they made you send it all the way to their HQ Europe.

I don't think it looks so bad and it achieved its goal, which was to get people talking about it. With the built in poweramp it wont even look too goofy sat on top of a cab either!

Re: Kemper rackmount announced at NAMM
Weird, I thought this was old news already. Anyway, ugly as fuck? I don't think so. Deviates from "standard" notions of what it should look like? Yeah. Not seeing how that is a bad thing. Fuck design complacency, shake it up, fuck "standards", establish your own.
You anted up a narcissistic boil and a conniving witch. Thanks America. Signed, the world.

Re: Kemper rackmount announced at NAMM
All the "big announcements" at NAMM crack me up every year.
...we have a brand new, improved, smaller but otherwise identical version of the same product you've been buying 50 years.
...we added a feature to our products that it should've had from the beginning.
...we added another letter or number to the model, or rearrange the name to make you think it's different.
...We gave it a different headshell, or made it rackmount
etc, etc.
Don't get me wrong, I know that for some of these products, it's EXACTLY what everyone wanted, and I don't mean to detract from that, it's just funny to see what the "big" announcements are, ya know?
