Who is ready for fall and winter?!
Welp, my favorite time of the year is coming upon us.
Leaves are starting to blow through the streets- picked up a case of Sam Adams Octoberfest.
Pretty soon, we pull out the cinnamon candles for the house and start eating soup, etc.
Starbucks holiday cups and pumpkin spice lattes, trip to the pumpkin patch is coming soon to decorate our porch.
Who else is ready?! I'm pumped. What do you guys change for the seasons?

I fucking hate at autumn and winter, it's cold and depressing.
I love Christmas in the UK though December is a month of partying.

Fall and winter, best time of the year. Your opinion means nothing in this thread.

Probably different everywhere you go, the people from Iowa and Wisconsin probably aren't excited about winter, but in CA, I love it.

So Cal, so you bet yer ass I enjoy the cooler seasons..
Give & take tho: 3 or so hrs less daylight on the end, is a bummer. And not enuf rain or snow to make it real.

This. Come here and spend 22hrs a day in pitch black darkness, then say how much you love the seasons.

This. And considering our Autumn and winter lasts forever, it can be a pain. But it is nice to have seasonal changes.

Re: Who is ready for fall and winter?!
I like Fall because the temps drop to the point where when I'm doing yard work my balls don't stick to my leg all day.
BTW, Wisconsin winters aren't bad at all. Only two weeks where the temps are bitter cold.
Snow levels really aren't that much either. The New England states see worse winters than we do.
WI is pretty much a perfect blend of seasons.

Fall is my favorite season.
Really don't treat it any differently - keep on keepin' on like it's summer - but with WAY more pleasant temperatures.
Although this was a very reasonable summer temp-wise.

I love fall in Wisconsin. Fresh apples, football, pumpkin muffins, and it's not hot as balls all the time.
But seriously fuck winter.

Re: Who is ready for fall and winter?!
For Eastern WA, fall and winter mean grey, gloomy, not much snow usually....just a lot of fucking cold 50mph wind that blows shit everywhere.
Thanks for the reality check. I need to move back to CA.

Re: Who is ready for fall and winter?!
Winter is not something to look forward to in NW Minnesota, and it usually leads to a flood in the spring. To make matters worse, this year I'm gonna have to sink some cash into my truck. It needs all new exhaust after the manifolds which is not going to be cheap and will delay the purchase of the Two Notes Torpedo Live I've been gassing for.

Re: Who is ready for fall and winter?!
I love the fall, the first part anyways. All the colours of the leaves, weather is nice still and finally no bugs means it's great for going on walks in the woods. Once you get into November it's horrible though, cold, wet, and grey.

Yeah I just love grey gloomy skies, bitter cold temperatures and windchills, bundling up like a muslim and scraping the ice off my car every morning.
Sounds like a blast to me!

Why don't you pay the neighbor kid to do it? That what I'd do. He can mow the grass in the summer and spring. Clear my driveway and scrape my windshields in the winter.

SoCal here as well. I am so looking forward to the end of Santa Ana season and some cooler temperatures. Yeah, less daylight is a bummer, especially on my commute, and I hope we don't have one of those winters with the torrential rains that turn streets into rivers and cause the hills to slide into the ocean, but I am so sick of the heat at this point.
BTW, Starbucks pumpkin scones for the MFW.

Alabama
Fall and winter are great. Spring is exciting what with all the large and long tracking tornadoes. Summer can be death; stupid hot and humid, bug population equal to hat of an amazon jungle and high power bills. Still water sports are great here.
Central interior California, like Petaluma, is the best weather on the planet.

Nope, best is either San Diego or Santa Barbara. Rarely gets excruciatingly hot, never seems to drop below a high of 65 or so, and the sun shines almost every day.

Re: Who is ready for fall and winter?!
Santa Barbara does get a little hot, it's just deceptive. You have a cool breeze but the sun is pretty intense as far as it's strength and coverage.
The breeze and morning/evening fog sure paint a different picture though.
