I tried messing around with contact of the patch as per Thermionic.. no such luck getting it to cut out again. Just working perfectly :wait:

That said, I no longer think that is it because the housing of the moog expression is plastic...

ALthough I'm wondering if it's something similar with a ground loop issue, that area of my board is super tight...

I'd really rather not buy a new wah but If I can't figure this out might have to

The plug going into the Aftermath is touching the Wah. Maybe try to isolate that. :idk:

I was specifically testing that with it touching earlier still not being able to make the problem repeat

But maybe next time it does happen I should do a quick assessment of what is touching what and go from there to see if that alleviates the problem :idk:

Doh! I have the same wah!!! I like it a lot, but I just started having issues with it too.

I bought the first one at Guitar Center and after using it twice, I was unable to insert my cable into the input jack.
Guitar Center replaced it with a floor model because, they didn't have any other new ones in stock.

I've had the replacement on my gig board for at least three years.
At rehearsal this past Saturday, it crackled a bit when I pushed down and cut out briefly in the middle of a song so, I wah'd on and off, quickly, two or three times and it came back.
I'm expecting it to only get worse over time so, I need to look into how the on/off mechanism works and find out if it's repairable.

Does anyone know how the on/off switch works on this switchless wah?

Just found the schematic... does anyone see the the on/off switch? I'm guessing the "100k log" potentiometer goes from zero to full open?

Looking at the schematic... Spawnofthesith's issue could be a wonky transistor or, maybe the pot needs to be replaced?

Update: I'm fairly certain it is indeed some sort of ground loop caused by the expression jack from afterneath touching wah.... however, it does not happen on my roadster. At all. It happens with my JVM, Thunder, and running the POD direct seemingly directly related to that. Roadster no problem though :idk:

Not sure how that necessarily makes sense. Also peculiar because I've had my pedalboard set up like this for almost a year and used all those other amps the whole time and never had an issue until recently.

I'm taking the roadster to a gig tonight, I say now that it doesn't happen with the roadster but I bet inevitably it happens on stage

Just read that the Roadster has a ground wire attached to the input jack, which should then run through some sort of "bridge" with a neutral wire coming from it. One terminating on a grounded area and the other into some sort of loop.

Fascinating!! I guess that explains that then. No troubles with the roadster at the gig obviously :D
