Seriously. This storm is no joke.
Re: Florida GGF members
It's gonna be pretty rough for the west coasters.
Just heard that our local probabilities have been down graded a notch. We're likely to see 60-70 mph winds and ALOT of rain.
Got the fridge and freezers loaded down with supplies, minor house fortifications made, generator gassed up, tested & ready, and currently riding the Gear Page and Reverb shopping for pedals.
Who else is n Florida?
We have:
Raf
That ambulance arguer guy
I feel like there are more

That's funny. I've actually seen fish trying to swim up my road

My favorite:
LYRICS:
How does it feel to be slapped with a fish in the face?
When you've been slapped in the face and told me who you are
I thought I was mistaken, I thought I heard your words
Tell me how do I feel
Tell me now, how do I feel
Those who came before me lived through the fish slap
From the past until completion, they'll turn away no more
And still I find it so hard to see you slapped by a fish
But I'm quite sure that you'll tell me just how I should feel today
I see a fish in the harbor
It can and shall obey
But if it wasn't for your misfortune, I'd be a heavenly person today
And I thought I was mistaken, and I thought I heard you speak
Tell me, how do I feel
Tell me now, how should I feel
Now I stand here waiting
I saw that fish slap you when you walked down to the beach
Tell me how does it feel, when the fish grows cold, grows cold, cold.

Re: Florida GGF members
I'm in north florida. The storm was way milder here then originally predicted thankfully. Yesterday morning starting early i had intermittent power outages for just mins at a time and finally around noon lost power for a few hrs which affected my whole neighborhood. There were more power outages throughout the city yesterday and lower level areas got some flooding. There were damage some places from down trees (which likely also caused some of the power outages too).
I know i'm glad i had the trees around my house significantly trimmed down last year and had roof replaced (that was well over 20 years old). Very thankful the track of storm moved more offshore and storm weekend to tropical storm by time was in area. There are parts of south western florida that were hot with hurricane at cat 4 level though. I know there is a big recovery effort underway from city state and federal agencies. I hope anyone affected makes it through ok.
