Fans of America's Test Kitchen: Help Please.

Post by BroSlinger »

So, I saw an episode where Chris Kimball was so incredibly inappropriate, I would love to track it down and see it again.

I forget if it was Julia or Bridget, but she was doing a rub on something like a brisket or ribs or something.

The exchange went something like this:

She says, "I'll place the meat on the table slap some rub on it."

Chris goes, "You can put me on the table and slap ME."

Does anybody remember this, and can you point me to the right season/episode?

My wife and I got a cooking lesson from Sam, in his living room / kitchen / set. Dude was super cool, just like he is on his show. His dogs were rad too.

Those folks are hilarious. The number of times they take innuendo far enough you wonder if they ain't busy behind the test-counter anytime they cut to commercial makes the show ten times funnier / funner.

It's airs on PBS, I think I read you can stream episodes on Teevee for free. They test everything and give you their top picks for utensils, pans, products and recipes. It's an actual cooking show where you learn things.

That would be hard to track down without being more specific. He was on the show for 16 seasons. That's a whole lot of recipes.

Awesome! I love Sam. Those guys must be getting smoked up pretty heavily when they come up with some of those recipe ideas. I saw one recently for a potato chip sandwich.

^ Coincidentally, one of the dishes Sam made us were mashed potato tacos topped with potato chips, green onion, bacon, and Cholula. As he was making them I was like "what kinda trailer trash shit is this?", but lets just say I've made those exact tacos about 100 times on my own.
