Dam .... Lake Mead

Post by Pepi »

Lake Mead needs water. Maybe they need to run a pipeline from the Pacific ocean. Can go without sin city

It's really bad. We're going to have to do desalinization on a national scale.

We should have started that 30 years ago .

It wouldn't be as bad if Nevada wasn't selling off a large portion of that water to Cali and AZ, but yeah it's a mess. It was pretty surreal seeing the water lines when we flew over there en route to Vegas back a few months ago.

Tangent comment, seeing a massive solar panel field in SE Henderson valley was a wild thing to see.

It's only begun for the 7 states that depend on the Colorado River.

If I lived anywhere in that part of the SW, I'd be selling while my property was worth anything and moving somewhere where there's water.

A transformer just blew up and the media is making it sound like the whole dam is falling. Wonder how many transformers have blown up in the past years?

Read a wild article about the Great Salt Lake drying up and how it is quickly becoming a respiratory hazard for Salt Lake City.

Point the cabs to the ground, crank amps to 10 and expedite the process?
