Dave was right

Post by MikeO »

When he posted it a few years ago, I fought him on it. I'm here to admit he was right. Yellow mustard is for plebes. Dijon is the way to go. I have been converted. Forgive me Dave, for I have sinned.

Amen.

 I agree. But brown honey mustard is pretty good too.

That said, there's a reason piss is yellow.

I used to be of that mind, that hot dogs and soft pretzels get yellow mustard. But for some reason, the last few times I've put yellow mustard on either, I've found myself thinking, Dijon would be even better.

Honey mustard has its place, but that's an entirely different animal. Yellow mustard and dijon mustard are almost like two sisters, and one is really hot, and the other only so-so. In the absence of any other women, I'd hook up with the so-so sister, but if I had a choice, the hotter sister would always be the first round pick.

Despite both being called mustard, they both taste different to me. For this, it depends on what the mustard is put on.

It has its place but I prefer the brutality of a strong English mustard

Plain ol' dawg gets plain ol' yellow mustard. For life.

Anything above the basic level, run of the mill dog, as in brats, sausages, etc., gets the good stuff.

Chinese mustard is the way to go for egg rolls and fried rice, but brown mustard, for my money, is the go-to for sausages and pretzels.

The peak form of mustard is in Carolina Gold (when done correctly)

I'm all for dijon and spicy mustard on prezels and ham sandwiches. Yellow mustard can fuck itself, as far as I'm concerned.

They have different tastes and reasons for use.

All Mustards Matter...

And if it's yellow mustard, it better be Plochman's or GTFO :cop:
