My daughter and I decided to snack, so she's having spreadable herbed goat cheese on bread while I'm having guacamole and chips.

The wife decided to go old school tomato soup and grilled cheese.

My friend asked me to do one for her daughters graduation party last Saturday. I managed to smoke 15 pounds of pork butt in 5 hours and it turned out so good, the best I've done so far on the smoker. I had her get it in 3 lb sections to help with the smoke time. I seasoned one with just salt, pepper, garlic, then the other 2 I loaded up with some store bought rub but I also added a bunch of New Mexico red chili and had some med. heat and some hot. The hot was damn good, would make again.

I absolutely LOVE smoking beer can chickens. Holey shit, that's the best.

I gotta hit the costco and get SOMETHING on the smoker this weekend

It's May 29th and it was 46 degrees and breezy when I walked out the door this morning. It won't get above 72 degrees the entire holiday weekend. Complete and utter bullshit. We have grub. We have alcohol. We will grill and eat. We will imbibe. But no one will want to sit by the pool. I live for summer. I had to turn the heat on this morning. This pisses me off...
I Love the smell of nitrocellulose in the morning.

We're not quite that cold, but the weather has been shit so far. The kids all got in the pool but it was too cold for the adults. We just drank and grilled while the kids splashed around. Today it's even more overcast, about 10 degrees cooler, and we'll see how day 2 pool party goes. We grilled fajita steak yesterday, and today my neighbor is smoking a brisket.

Tomorrow we're doing burgers and dogs for pool party 3, but it's supposed to rain so I doubt anyone will get in.

UGH where is summer :(

We had a good Memorial Day spread. Had my parents and MIL and Bro in law over. I did up some chicken and veggie kabobs. My dad brought a flank steak he’d had in a marinade from the night before and grilled thst too. Add in potato salad from my MIL and coleslaw and pasta salad and we had a good dinner.
