Are there schematics online that a local tech can use as reference?

I wonder how much shipping to Russia will be?

Yeah but it seems llike a pretty straight forward design that any tech could fix. It's when you go into proprietary parts that gets complicated *cough* EVH *cough*.

But I don't see anything on this amp that wouldn't be easy for a good tech to work on...

I think I will do something similar in the future... I really like the Synergy preamp. 2:90 is cool. But that's for next year's budget

Synergy has their own 1U 50/50 power amp out too. Designed by Fryette.

I'd only worry about finding transformers that fit in a 1u chassis should one take a shit. The pt will probably be toroidal and not so difficult but a low profile ot or toroidal ot that doesn't suck is tricky.

yeah I saw that. I will consider it, but sometimes you can get used rack power amps for super cheap because nobody seem to want them these days. I just missed out on a 2:90 for $500 on Reverb the other day...

But then again GuitarBilly has a brand new EVH that' he's got to pay P&P to get repaired (which makes it a damn expensive EVH amp), so i'm not sure how it could get worse than that... And it doesn't look über complicated either so... What I mean is we worry a bit too much about some things and when we don't think that we should be worried is when the shit happens lol

Yeah I will fix the EVH first. I'm really happy with it and had no plans to switch amps until this happened. I will talk to Fender again tomorrow.

Does anyone know someone at Fender that could help me out with this?

Update: I called EVH today and they agreed to pay for one-way shipping to L.A. and I will pay for the return. I can definitely live with that :)

Me too. I am seriously considering building a smaller rack around it.
I already have a 4-space case, Replifex and an extra power conditioner so it would be really easy.

You've got a perfect compact rig in the works! Track down a Rocktron Powerstation and you won't need the power conditioner or a wallwart for the Replifex. Then you'd still have an empty rack space to do with as you please.

I will. He's thinking about getting a Synergy SYN5050 power amp (1U, 6L6) to go with his Engl e530 preamp.

If he likes the Engl rig better, I may have a line on a domestic R&R Solo amp at a used price.

Thanks snave, ill keep an eye out. Im only interested in the review and clips right now. Im moving out of state in a few months and will not be acquiring anything new until I move otherwise I would probably jump on it if it ended up for sale.

yeah that's where I am at too. Interested in reviews but I'm moving out of state soon, so I will probably not buy any time soon.

I've been interested in everything from that place, mainly the preamps but a single space head is a wonderful idea.

Did your friend get this amp? I am still interested to hear some first hand experiences with it :)

Not yet. I know that it shipped but I think he's getting it next week. I'll update once he tries it out.

Fuck. It sounds great. Lots of bass in the video but I'm pretty sure that's just the camera's position.

I think I'll buy one once I'm done with the move.

How deep is the amp?

I asked him about the detph. I'll let you know what he says. One of the LEDs is intermittent but he's still loving the amp.

Gutshot:

Check out the wood spacers (?) and duct tape. Russian engineering. Flying leads from the pots, chassis mounted tube sockets and no ribbon cables is nice though.

That looks Russian as fuck  but decent build quality overall... No PCB mounted pots etc...

The case is almost a square so probably 18" deep?

Yeah that camera mic is compressing like a lil bish but it definitely sounds like the potential is there. Love the Russian engineering :D
