both have gotten some mods since this pic.... killed the 2nd volume in the small amp, now it's just a regular NMV 18 watt bassman/princeton clone thingy, really amazing sounding little amp... the Maple head is my plexi clone and I just got an effects loops installed in it last week... so far so good...

Thanks Tony! Hope all is well!

You choose the center frequency and then the bandwidth around that frequency to boost or scoop to your choice. You get to do that for a single low, mid, and high for each channel, and there are 2 channels. Extremely transparent and you have overall level control for more transparency when it's kicked in and out. They are made in Germany back when TC was TC. I imported mine from a studio in Japan - they're getting harder and harder to find. I plan to run one channel for rhythm and another for post-effects solo boosts to keep the noise figure down.

They also made a single rack version called the 1140, but the 2240 is more sought after since you have two independent channels you can utilize. Great for adding insane amounts of thump or tightening up a rig with low mids or high mids or shaping speakers which can be honky at some frequencies.

First time I ever heard one was when psychodave over on RT ran one in the loop of his CCV. The video is long gone, but it's by far the best sounding EQ in existance today - an MXR doesn't have anything on this.

My kinda rig. TE’s have that unique ability to remain punchy and grindy Big fan Their new mini amp is winning a lot of fans. Has my eye but I’ve owned several over the years and instantly love them. Great rock amps.

Yeah, I am really considering that mini. For now, it's "no school like the old school!"

That’s actually a 1977 Greco LP Custom. Just as good as any LP I’ve ever played.

I’ve been using a Helix lately, but I had been and still also gig this board, with IEM’s:

If you look carefully, I have a V8 pickup loaded in my Charvel. They're PAF knockoffs but IMHO they're great :rawk:

Right on — I’ve never felt the need for any pickup swapping in that guitar. Did not know they were imitation PAFs, though! :hmm: :thu:

Same! Had an Ibanez phase for a while and loved the bridge. To be exact the V7 is a straight PAF copy and the V8 is a Dimarzio Tonezone copy.

Are you guys sure? I have an RG520 and the stock V7 didn't sound THAT great, and I like the PAF tone. I thought the V7 was more aggressive than a PAF-type pickup. I swapped it out for a SD JB which I like much better, although I'd like to try a SD Custom in that guitar.

I honestly don't know. Never looked into it. :idk:

I've got a neck '59 and a bridge Distortion in my Hamer Studio, and a Custom Custom in the bridge of my Hamer Mirage … fwiw, the V7/V8 combo seems to hold its own pretty well with the Duncans in my Hamers through the same amps/rigs.

Though I'm sure Billy would simply ascribe that to my Hamers' "second tier tone." :cop:

PAF is anything that looks like a Gibby 'bucker but we all know they don't often sound the same .
