I've been wanting more reverb options lately. But I also wanted to keep it simple. So.....

Getting ready for work now. So I won't have a chance to mess with it until tonight or tomorrow morning. Although I did DL the Tone Print app to my phone. So I will load some tone prints into the last 3 spots asap.

I have the mini and was not a fan. All of the presets were super brite.

Not to mention I was using at my practice space so I’d have no idea how the presets would sound until I got there.

The switch is pressure sensitive, so you can add momentary reverb and shimmer effects by pressing and holding it. It's basically an expression pedal built in.

sweet!

i have the regular first HOF and love that thing! it's a bummer you don't have the AMB setting, 'cause i LOVE That thing for just hugifying any guit sound in front of a mic. :D but all the ones you have are awesome on that one anyhow. they're cool units, and never found mine too bright i guess... just a good solid sumbitch i need to put on pedal power cause it eats batteries in like a day.. functionally, though, it's been a blast and sure sounds cooler than my frontman's tank :D

what's SHIM? i don't have that one!

aha!

i dunno that i'd use that one all THAT often, but it's a pretty cool sound- i can see it getting a lotta 'post-rock' action! tc's always messing about though, and it's cool to have a company that still messes with even their older products in a way that lets you download new stuff for kicks- tone print is fun, even if i don't really use it- the multiple toneprint option is really smart!

they seem to get a lotta hate, but i've had really good luck with this thing for on two or three years at this point, and they keep releasing stuff i think sounds good at decent prices.. and then supporting it well... kinda love me the TC's!

Initial impression is that this is all the reverb pedal I need. All of the settings sound good and are distinct enough to not seem repetitive. The Shim setting is great for clean passages and finger picked stuff.

Haven't loaded tone prints into the 3 open spots yet. But Ill get to it.

Man I've been thinking hard about picking up a Flashback 2. Since I'm doing the clean platform thing now I've been using a quick slapback always on instead of reverb and I'm really enjoying it.

So far I really dig it. Most of all because it sounds good and is dead simple to use.

One of the main reasons I'm looking at the Flashback. Was watching a clip of Robben Ford using one live and it sounded awesome. Apparently he likes the 2290 setting.

I haven't delved into the tone prints yet. But I will check that one out for sure.

After some more playtime, the "Room" setting sound unreal with my LP into the Jube. It adds the perfect amount of space without any kind of washing out.

Yes. This is THE WAY. I also use the single repeat semi-slap as my reverb substitution. You lose no attack that way and the tail/trail gets out of the way quickly. Everything is better.

aw! that must be like the AMB setting i was telling you about! i think mine has room as well-- but amb's an even SHORTER delay to keep it tight, but i've used it that way and it sounded freakin amazing and started patching it in the loop and just leaving it on on my stage rig cause it totally fakes a way bigger, less dry rig than a big solid stater. badass!

HNRD! I am thinking about getting this one as well. I have the flashback II and am finding the mash function far more usable than I ever thought I would. It's great for that synth swell every once and a while to fill things out for songs like Purple Rain, Love ain't no stranger, etc.

Honestly, this is the sound I was after. I just want to add a little space to everything. The Room setting does it perfectly. All of the other stuff is icing on the cake.
