Avatar cabs are great. I used one for 10 years. It sounded great and I never had any issues with it.

I have an avatar signature 212 and a contemporary 212. They're my favorite cabs.

Incredible service too. When I ordered my contemporary a few months ago, i actually ordered another signature. He called me and told me about some issues with his cnc guy, refunded me $250, and shipped me out a contemporary instead a couple days later.

i have a Forte Vert 3D 2x12, awesome cab. No idea why he closed up shop. If it’s anything like the original Forte cab, they are excellent.

Finally, you are making sense.

I have two of the original 3D 1 x 12 cabs made by Dave Fracassio. They are really very very good.

So it seems. Similar idea (back of cone sound pushed out of the cab) to my Sound Enhancer that I'm holding onto (because he isn't in bidness anymore):

hey-- that's kinda cool!

sure cuts down on crap to carry-- but that's the same reason i mix a thiele cab and a combo. if i had a head, sure seems like a good idea. i wouldn't mind not trucking two 60-80# boxes around. :D but it's hardly a burden to do that over moving a damn 412..

huh. never seen one of these critters-- the little sound enhancer horn is kinda cool-- does it work well?

It DOES work well. It's light, but it's another piece to carry, so, it doesn't really save anything there. That product is for a guy who only plays a combo, but wants a thicker sound coming at him from the amp and not "waste" all of the sound coming from the back of the amp.

It also allows you to tilt the amp up, so, your amp can be turned down some, while you can hear it better, and get more bass from it.

I've found it to be the equivalent to bringing my Power Engine 60 with my Trademark 60, or using a 2x12 version instead of a 1x12 version of an amp, but it's light and easy to carry.

I rarely ever use mine anymore, but he hasn't made any in years, and I sold one many years ago and regretted it, and bought another one. When I bought my 2nd one, He sold me one of his prototypes, because they weren't in production, and that's all he had, so I feel like I have something special and unobtainable
