So much internet mumbo jumbo about how different these amps are. I have both right here, and the sound the fucking same to me. Goddamn, I love these things.

They sound mostly the same to me too. That said, over Youtube they're definitely going to sound the same. I still like the A's the best. Love mine.

They sound the same in the room, too. Maybe a slight difference in the top end with the same EQ settings, but it's soooooo slight that I have a hard time liking one over the other.

Haha yeah. I was too curious not to try it. I love the nuke, and it might go back in. I was sending Billy some tuners and he wanted to try it out, so figured it's a good time to try this out. I moved the strap button to the inside of the jack, too. Balanced it out nicely.

I'll keep that in mind! Itll either be this or the nuke, I think. They both sound great and have more clarity than anything else I've played.

Also, it's my #1 for sure. My other guitars don't come close, not even the Juggy. This is just flat out better in every way.

Also, also...this was at band volume. No more apartment levels for me!! Shoulda just said fuck my neighbors...they never gave a shit, why did I...

So what do you like better? I mean, it's just a pickup, but I did really dig it with the Nuke.

I musta responded while you edited.
Supreme thanks man!! I'm glad you are digging it that much!!

It's really amp dependent...

I really only like the fishmans through the Mesa...I haven't liked them through any other amp. But the Mesa low end almost needs the super tightness of them to get what I want out of it. The Nuke was so fucking brutal through the 5150...if that was my main amp still, I'd put the Nuke in all of my guitars.

Cleans, the Nuke is better than the fishmans. Bigger, bolder low end, cleaner, clearer, very punchy, while the fishmans are a bit on the thin side.

The Nukes low end is insane. So massive and destructive. The first time I used it with the band, I felt like I got kicked in the stomach. I hit a few chords and my singer and I looked at each other and were like...holy shit!!

So really, I like them equally, depending on what amp I'm using, I guess. The Nuke is by far the best passive I have ever played. It's everything I always wanted in a passive, and if I'd tried one before I got the first Mark IV, I might've not gotten it and stuck with my last 5150II instead. Definitely everything I thought the warpig would be but wasn't. That pickup was a huge disappointment haha.

Cool..

Yeah, no doubt the Nuke low end and punch was virtually unmatched in my experience of trying every fucking pickup out there. Lol.. Whether it ends up your preference in that git or not, it definitely is a unique sound and design. Can't say I ever quite heard anything like it

Yeah, I totally agree. Never heard anything like it.

I'll probably swap it back and forth a few times before I make a decision...or maybe I won't make a decision and keep swapping them haha.

They definitely sound similar, but maybe the way A was dialed, it sounded like it had more presence (not by much though). Either sound great with your style of metal Raf :thu:

With my shitty work headphones the A has more of a beefy thickness to it and the B seems to have a bit more mid punch and compression. Both sound kickass

I like them both but give the edge to the A. Like FAKA said, just a bit more beef.

Sounds the same here. Both sound great for that style of music, that's the proper brutes right there - in the room it must have been glorious. That is one mean ripping tone you got going there with the mmmmmmkaaaaaaays :fap:

Both clips sound really, really good! Mean as fuck.

For me, I can't beat EMG's with my Mark IV, there's just something about them that edges out ever other pickup I've used.

Ironically, the A sounds darker in your clips. Better to my ears.

The difference can probably be negated by dialing down the presence on the B.
