Oh yeah. Saw this yesterday and was pleasantly surprised. Didn't post here because I didn't figure anyone would care  Friend of mine in Cal knows the drummer. It is probably nice working with someone who can sing vs. Don

Dude has a new band every year

I don't find it very interesting at all, tbh, but it's a pretty decent straight up hard rock song. :thu:

Just listened to it again and that solo is an absolute ripper. Love it.

Which guy, and why?

Sounds like a good rock song to me, and Lynch can still play just as good or better than he always has, not sure why he should take up something else.

Corey is one of my favorite singers. He did a brief stint at The Falcon (Local music hall) here in NY and blew my mind. Guy really brings it vocally. This is pretty awesome.

This.

Plus, I am pretty much behind any project that gets Corey Glover out there. Guy is a total badass.

Don't get the panties in a knot.....I am just being sarcastic. :hi5:

Sounds decent. Singer is good. George is George...same as when I saw him in 1984....only older and playing slower rehashed shit.

I dig it alot but will be interested to hear the rest of the album. I know George keeps surfacing in all these so-called "supergroups"; however, I give the man a ton of props for continuing to want to do his thing and not simply crawling into a hole never to be seen or heard from again. Some of the stuff has been meh, and some great...but for guys like most of us who are clinging onto the last hopes of rock and roll, it's good to see George still trying to keep rock and roll alive. In fact, I think much of what I have seen from him in the last couple of years looks and sounds great. There was a time I was concerend about him as a person and a musician (well...not so much here) as he looked and sounded slightly off-kilter, but lately he and his overall sound and laying seems rejuvenated and I for one enjoy seeing and hearing a rejuvenated George Lynch. :rawk:

I stumbled upon his KXM stuff yesterday, decent straight up rock just like this. Nothing has "wow'ed" me so far, but i'd rather hear this than a lot of what's on the radio.

Came in here expecting to see KXM. Which I also dig and also prefer to current radio fare... but generally when I’m listening to KXM, I’m wanting it to be KX. :cop:

Just watched the vid.

Okay, that’s hot.

Love the tune, the playing, the lyrics. Glover’s delivery is wow.

Also, cool choice the director made to have the three instrumentalists rawkin’ our but Glover mostly standing still and barely moving while delivering those searing vocals.

Always have and still love Living Colour. Love Corey's singing then and now.
George's solo is great. Bassist is simply playing outstanding there. Song really
reminds me of Living Colour still.

Sounds like an out of touch 80’s rocker trying to make “tough guy” rock but trying way too hard. Hard pass

George Lynch is like an old character actor. He isn't really leading man material, and his range is—possibly by design—limited. However, whenever he does his thing you feel an instant sense of recognition and interest. This is to say that he has his own sound and style, honed over the years. You either dig or you don't, which makes his solo outings hit or miss with the larger public. I think he fits great in a group with a strong lead vocal/front man presence, and Corey Glover definitely fits the bill.

If you didn't grow up listening to Dokken and Living Colour then this might not be your thing, but I like it. :rawk:

The music video was cool, too.

That V..... something about reversed ESP headstocks look so much better than Jackson ones. Like they're not trying to poke your eyes out.

As a musician and fan, I find it to be entirely un-douchebag-y to continue to make new music and trade on your celebrity to record and tour with other awesome musicians, however small and niche that celebrity might be.

George Lynch has a mortgage to pay too.

Not my flavor of ice cream but I was digging the bass.

Lynch seemed like a pretty cool guy on his Tone-Talk. Never really been a fan of his but it's cool to see older dudes still playing their thing. Totally different genre but I can hardly believe that Phil Lesh (78 years old) is STILL playing on stage and doing it well!
