Dod 201 reissue sounds really good, IMO. Got mine for $40.

I don’t like my boss ph1r

Tortuga mai tai was VERY nice

Whirlwind orange box was okay.

Early 80’s block logo phase 100 is really good

Just put a offer on a 1974 handwired script 90. So we'll see.

I think cursive is sexy.

My favorite is the EQD Grand Orbiter. But it's very different than a Phase 90.

I love the Phase 90 but the old ones have a terrible bypass. The EVH version with the script button is my favorite for legit tone and modern functionality.

I am tempted to change out my phase 90 for the EVH version.

I bounce between a phase 90 and the Boss PH2 as my favorites.... PH2 just has a little special something happening... but the phase 90 is a classic sound

I put a offer on a 1974 script reissue. Do those have shitty bypass too?

Not that I notice. I have one in one of my rigs and when it's off I don't notice any difference from being plugged into the amp's input when the effect is off.

It's smal] and doesn't look so exciting, but the MXR phase 95 is the best I've used. Get both Block and script modes, plus the phase 45 mode which is even more subtle than 90 and gets a little Univibe'y.. Compared direct to the MXR EVH version, it's the same when using the script mode. And it's still cheaper and more versatile.

Imo, phaser is one of those effects that they pretty much replicate in the new models virtually spot on to the old versions

I use a regular stock current phase 90 and love it. I know the script are supposed to have a softer effect and sound better but for my purposes this thing does it’s iob quite well.

My offer was declined.

So now I will look at the PH-2 because BOSS pedals are the best pedals.

I have an old Maestro MSP Stage Phaser that's really cool I would sell or trade you for something?

3. Maestro Stage Phaser: Bob Moog designed this pedal, so it has to be good, right? Well, he did design the Gibson RD Artist onboard compressor…so, no. But the Stage Phaser is a real treat—isn’t just an incredible sounding phaser, it’s also very innovative, especially for its time. In fact, the sound and features of the pedal are so great that I’m able to completely look past the ridiculously huge footprint. Like all Maestro pedals of this era, the entire pedal itself is the switch, and all facets of the pedal are foot-controllable, from knobs to rotary switches—a hallmark of this series. In the case of the Stage Phaser, the foot-controllable rotary switch controls ramping functions; setting the speed to “9” and rotating the switch to the left slows down the phase until only the original input signal remains. This is an incredible boon for guitarists and synth players alike, as it finally brings the start-stop functionality of the Leslie cabinets to other effects. The depth of the pedal is controlled by a knob labeled “Balls,” so you know it’s going to be good. And it is—the phasing is as lush and rich as you can imagine. It only loses points because in my opinion, the slowest setting just isn’t slow enough. For all the things Bob Moog designed, this pedal is one of his most sadly underrated creations.

I've been stuck to the EH Small Stone for a few decades now. Now that i'm using the Helix though, the MXR model is fine i guess. Not as warm as the EH

I like two stage phasers so the Script 45 or the DOD 201 would be my two primary choices.

Phase 90 with the common mods is my favorite phaser.

I haven’t tried many, but it’s subtle pre dirt and huge post dirt.

Works for both types of sounds.

For maximum versatility you could try the Phase 95? Switches between Phase 90 and 45 and Script switch for "modern" and "vintage" modes.

For even more craziness, flexibility (and plenty more classic sounds as well) as well as boutique, cork-sniffer cred I'd try the latest Subdecay Quasar. Their pedals are awesome, especially their modulation, well built, creative, lots of awesome, different but usable sounds. Brian Marshall, the founder used to post over at HCFX, nice, helpful guy too.

It's not like I get booteeky but the EVH Phaser has always been inspiring for me. I had a Hardwire that was also pretty cool.

No, the reissue is great. I wasn't clear you were getting the reissue from the OP.

This. I have one on my board and it sounds way better than the regular one. Main issue I have with it is that it's battery only with no LED, so you have to make sure you've turned it off and then disconnect the patch cords so it doesn't do a slow drain.

One of a small handful of pedals I regret trading, even if it was for a Moog MF-103. I just bought another one.
