I saw them with my daughter a while back, when she wanted to see In this Moment. They were buried amongst several openers, but they really left an impression.

Since then, I have bought several of their albums and REALLY like them. Very eclectic metal.

Not the biggest fan of their latest album, but Feathers and Flesh is great and I dig several songs from Black Waltz and Hail the Apocolypse.

Just curious if anyone else has checked them out.

Oh yeah...I will be seeing them open for Trivium on October’s 13 in Philly...with my daughter, of course. She has become a big fan too.

I seriously thought you were talking about that movie where they shoot a tree and have sex with blue people.

scary clown make up is a hard no and I don't like his voice. Hail the apocalypse has a nice riff in it, though.

I’m pretty Meh on the makeup myself, but I do like the guys voice ( he can actually sing...not just do the Cookie Monster thing).

Their music is all over the place, but still heavy....which I dig. But I certainly don’t expect everyone to like what I like. Just sharing a band I figured not many on this board would know about :thu:

There were probably 7 bands on the bill when I saw them....all sort of in the Octane on Sirius style of music. I thought Avatar was, by far, the best band on the bill. With that said, In this Moment puts a lot of effort into their show as well...very theatrical.

I was there because my daughter wanted to see them and I like live music.....wasn’t expecting much, but was really impressed by Avatar’s energy, music and they were really tight.

Very much looking forward to seeing them again.

I didn't know anything about them until they came to Poughkeepsie, NY. Not a huge fan but I think they have some cool grooves...............
