Reaper projects I've been working on are opening up blank with no tracks or items. The backup project files are also opening up blank. I had my projects backed up on another hard drive and they are opening up blank as well. One project did open up fine though. Pulling my hair out over this.

Blank in which way? The tracks say "offline" on them or there aren't any tracks on the projects at all? There are two instances of Reaper installed, the other one is normal and the other says "Reaper (create new project)" when you right click on it on the taskbar. Maybe you're somehow opening this other version that always opens an empty project on startup.

There aren't any tracks at all. I'm opening the projects the way I've always done, either from within Reaper or double clicking the project file.

Ruh-oh. I don't have reaper, but I've experienced this in other DAWs. Been awhile, but basically your folder in Reapee that contains audio has prolly been changed or Reaper has just failed to access it. If you don't even see ANY tracks, meaning even what you named each track, then it could be that project info has been lost, or again it's somehow changed or fails to see where all this info is stored.

If you can see settings but no tracks, see if you can "search for missing audio files" and directly link it to the folder that has it. If you can, the rest should follow suit

I figured it out. I usually create a project folder, Reaper then creates a folder in that folder. The project file in the upper most folder wasn't working, but another one in the folder Reaper created worked for all my projects.
